What a bezel setting is
In a bezel, gold surrounds the entire edge of the stone instead of holding it with prongs. It protects the diamond and leaves a clean circular outline.

Nothing catches on scarves, hair or sweaters, and there are no prongs to loosen. That makes them ideal for daily wear.
