A deliberate asymmetry
Combining a soft round cut with a pointed marquise creates a deliberate tension that keeps the ring from looking symmetrical. Two different cuts make the design feel chosen rather than standard.
The history of the toi et moi
Napoleon popularized this design when he gave Josephine a two-stone ring in 1796. Today it is back as a modern alternative to the solitaire engagement ring.
