Ruby is a variety of corundum, the same mineral family as sapphire, and ranks 9 on the Mohs scale. That makes it tough enough to wear at the neckline every day. Any treatment is disclosed before purchase.
How to choose the chain
A fine rolo or link chain lets the red take center stage. Ruby looks just as good against a white shirt as against black.
