Necklaces

Chains and necklaces are made in 18-karat gold, 750 hallmark, unless the product page states a different karat. All diamonds are natural, and every necklace with stones comes with its Celide certification: a certificate with images and full stone specifications, or a card with the name of the piece and its carat weight, depending on the piece.

Gold chains by weave

Celide's chains are imported from Italy, a source known for the precision of its weaves. The weave is the way the links are joined, and it determines how the chain drapes, how much it shines and how strong it is.

Rolo

Identical round links, flexible and flat: the most versatile weave for carrying a pendant. Explore the 40cm rolo chain or the mini rolo chain in white gold.

Cuban

Thick, interlocked and flattened links to wear as a main piece, like the wide Cuban chain.

Franco

V-shaped links interlocked on all four sides, with a square profile and great strength, like the 50cm franco chain.

Paper clip

Long rectangular links, light and modern. The paper clip chain comes with an enhancer ring for switching pendants.

Panzer

Broad, flat hinged links; the name comes from the German word for armor. Explore the emerald panzer choker.

Diamond-cut military

A chain with facets carved into the links that sparkle without stones, like the 60cm diamond-cut military chain.

Diamond necklaces

There are solitaires, such as the 0.75 ct diamond solitaire necklace and the mini solitaire, and multi-stone designs, such as the trilogy necklace or the diamond circle necklace. The house standard for brilliant diamonds is F color and VS1 clarity.

Gemstone necklaces

For a blue gem, the sapphire necklace with a diamond halo or the paraiba mirror chain necklace, known for its intense blue-green. In other colors, the emerald solitaire necklace and the ruby and diamond choker. The emeralds Celide works with are Colombian, with a certificate of origin issued on request at an additional cost. Any treatment of the stones is disclosed before purchase.

How to choose chain length

As a guide, a 35 to 40cm chain sits near the base of the neck or the collarbone, a 45 to 50cm chain a little lower and a 60cm chain reaches the breastbone. To layer several, mix lengths and use a bolder weave as the base.

If the necklace is a gift, the birthstone helps you choose: garnet in January, amethyst in February, aquamarine in March, diamond in April, emerald in May, pearl in June, ruby in July, peridot in August, sapphire in September, opal or tourmaline in October, topaz or citrine in November, and turquoise, tanzanite or zircon in December.
